It Ends With Us Movement - Breaking the Cycle of Trauma

Our Story

The It Ends With Us Movement was born from one woman’s journey from near-death to renewed purpose. After surviving a brutal attack at 18 that left her with 18 stab wounds, our founder spent decades healing from trauma that extended far beyond that single moment—discovering how generational patterns of pain can echo through families until someone chooses to break the cycle.

Through career struggles, relationships, motherhood, and ongoing emotional healing, she realized that true transformation requires addressing the root causes of our deepest wounds. Today, her movement provides a safe haven for women facing similar battles, offering practical support and spiritual guidance to help them reclaim their authentic selves.

Our Annual Gala: Supporting Those Who Serve Others

This gala raises funds and awareness for three vital nonprofits that share our mission of healing and empowerment:

💜 Wings Domestic Violence Support Services Program - Providing women with the support they need through times of crisis without judgment, creating a safe space for healing and empowerment.

💜 Metropolitan Family Services Shelter Holiday Shoppe - Providing dignity and hope to survivors of domestic violence by allowing them to shop for their children while accessing comprehensive services that support their journey from trauma to healing.

💜 Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services - Guiding at-risk teens and their families through a comprehensive 21-step healing process when they’ve encountered trouble with juvenile courts, helping both parents and children understand underlying issues and work together toward positive change. Their mission is to increase mental health awareness and provide accessible, high-quality counseling and crisis intervention services.

Our Mission

We’re committed to educating our suburban community about domestic abuse, childhood trauma, and the healing resources available. By supporting these established nonprofits, we amplify their reach and bring critical awareness to issues that often remain hidden behind closed doors.

Together, we’re ensuring that the cycle of trauma truly ends with us.
